Preliminary information for the annual Band Spring Trip was given to students this week. Please ask your child for this information. I am asking for a deposit of $100.00 (20pts) due on or before January 22, 2008 (next Tuesday). This deposit will determine the number of students going and the final price of the trip. We are going to Chicago, leaving on the evening of April 16th and returning late April 20th. I will be soliciting parents to chaperone in the next few weeks. This will be a competitive trip as well as an educational/touring adventure. It is my hopes that all students will be able to go if they so desire. If there are financial concerns, please talk with me and I will try to assist in anyway possible that I can. Please also try to adhere to the deadlines listed on the schedule because rooms have to be reserved and tickets purchased for the various events well in advance of our departure. Congratulations to ALL of the students that auditioned for the District 8 All District Band. Once again, York High Students excelled in their display of talent. Please know that I am EXTREMELY proud of ALL of the students in their efforts on Saturday. Please share with them my excitement for them!

Just a quick note to let you know that our next regular monthly Band Aides Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 8 at 7:00 PM in the YHS Band Room. This meeting is not mandatory, but is our monthly opportunity to discuss upcoming activities. Please bring thoughts and ideas to share.
