As was mentioned at the parent meeting last Thursday evening, band members who live out of the YHS attendance area are welcome to take advantage of our Tuesday afternoon "home away from home" program. A few families who live close to the school have opened up their homes to students who need a place to stay from the end of the school day until the Tuesday evening rehearsal at 6:00. (We pair girls with girls and guys with guys.) The host family will provide a quiet place to study for your child, dinner, and transportation back to the school for the evening rehearsal. , and I will put you in touch with one of our host families, who will let you know particulars such as the bus route number, so you can give permission for your son/daughter to ride home with the host family student.

Hello YHS Band Folks:
In order to keep you up to date with your student's
band account that includes both points and service hours, I need to have current
email address(es). If you have not received an email from me within the last
week, that means that I don't have your information and you are currently out of
the info loop.

the system so you can receive updated information about your band student's

Dear band parents,
I am writing to invite you to join the York Falcon Band
Aides! We would love to have every York band family as a member this year. With
the membership, you will receive a 2009 competition show theme t-shirt and a
garden stone.
Forms will be passed out at our Band Aides parent meeting
this Thursday night at 7:00 in the YHS auditorium. You may also print one out
from the downloads section at www.falconbandaides.com and turn it in to Mr. Purvis. I will
have the garden stones at the meeting for you to take home.
